Movie Review: Earth Girls are Easy Starring Jeff Goldblum & Jim Carrey

As we enter the story the three fuzzy aliens Mac (Jeff Goldblum), Zeebo (Damon Waynes) and Wiploc (Jim Carrey) are careening through outer-space on their spaceship.  The aliens have their own language comprised of odd sounds but have mannerisms much like macho human men.  And just like the male human lifeform the aliens seem to be impressed by human women.
As the aliens are explore their outside world with their telescope they spot a beautiful woman sunbathing in her backyard.  Pushing each other out of the way to catch a glimpse they forget to steer the spacecraft and end up smashing into her pool.   The beautiful female specimen is Valerie (Genna Davis) who is taken back by who emerges from the spaceship.  After getting over her fear of these weird looking beings in her backyard, she decides to help them during their stay on earth while they fix their spaceship.  The three aliens make themselves at home and explore Valerie’s television set helping them learn the English language in an afternoon.  Not sure what to do Valerie calls her friend Candy (Julie Brown) and they decide to take the three to the salon and give them makeovers.  After a cheesy song and dance break the three emerge from the dressing rooms looking like handsome human gentlemen.
One of their first stops is visiting a dance club with Valerie and Candy where Zeebo gets into a dance competition with the boyfriend of a girl he was dancing with.  The 80′s were such an easier time when all it took was a little dance competition to win a woman’s attention.  Speaking of corny scenes lets not forget about when Wiploc and Zeebo accidently rob a convenience store while on their way to the beach with Woody the pool man. 
Having overstayed their welcome the alien pals complete their spaceship repairs and depart back to their planet.  Valerie realizes she can no longer trust her boyfriend Ted (Charles Rocket) who cheated on her one to many times so she decides to go back with her new love Mac.  Not sure how she will enjoy living in space but I guess we will have to wait for the sequel.
Although I poked fun at the film it is good for a few laughs and a look back at the 1980′s.  I am not going to promise that you will be fulfilled at the end of the film but it is an interesting sneak peek at the early careers of Jim Carrey, Jeff Goldblum and Damon Waynes.
